What are about two or three baby shower favor gifts? These gifts would be given to guests playing some games.?

Q) I am in charge of getting a few baby shower party favors for those attending and playing the games however; I'm a college kid and have no idea of what exists in the baby world as my life consists of school, work, home. Can someone please offer me some insight please?

Q) Hello All. I'm planning a baby shower for my sister. (Twins) MY family is driving me crazy for the shower favor. I want to give something practical that won't just be tossed in the garbage. I know the candy idea, candles, potpourii etc. But i wanted to be a little different. I found really cute pastel umbrellas for a reasonable price. If we oput them in a decorative bag or something and dressed them up a little..we were considering it as an option..I just wanted to know how lame you think it is. Would you hate to get that as a gift? The other thought is a coffee / tea spoon gift set.. what are your thoughts? THANK YOU :)

A) you should buy little umbrellas and stick them every where and have people put there presents under neath the umrella. invite all of your friends and ask them to join you with there baby.that would be a great idea to have

Q) ok so im throwing my mother a baby shower and so far this is what i got its pooh themed. pooh plates,napkins,cups. pooh goodie bags filled with candy little pooh crayons,frizbes and penciles for litle favors. pooh dipper cake. i got banner that says baby shower and a little table center pice that says baby shower. gifts i got for her there i 6 gusts not including the mother so she will get a gift from eatch of them as well i got dipper bag i added 2 bodysutes,pooh hugiess wipes, baby lotion,bower,body wash. little sunglasess a baby bottal. then a pooh big pj for baby like for winter and 2 pairs of slippers and tenis shoes. i think thats all and thats not enough so any ideas of favors gifts anything not to expensize homemade if you know any. thanks so much p.s its a baby boy first of all i was writting in a rush i dont have all day to sit on the computer so thats why i spelled words wrong. and i do have lots of games like food test game word puzzles bean gusse lots more i also made a slide show fot the baby shower. and im serving pizza dr.pepper sprite, cake chips, bear cookies, ect

A) That's more then enough. Maybe some snacks like veggies or fruit.. or possibly finger sandwiches. Putting that aside- you really need to speak with a teacher or your mother about your inability to spell. If you are throwing a baby shower you are old enough to spell the word "tennis" or "bottle" correctly.

Q) I am planning my sisters first babyshower..the theme will be yellow duckys...but my problem is i can not think of any unique shower favors or gifts...please help me with this...and of course candels are a given but i want something different from the ordinary..Thank You in advance. Baby Shower "thank you" gifts?

Q) My family is throwing me a baby shower next month, but I want to give "thank you" favors away from "the baby" at my shower. I went to a shower recently where the mom to be gave out "thank you" votive candles and it had a cute poem attached to it, I can't remember exactly what it said but basically it was something along the lines of "even though I am not here yet I wanted to say thank you for gift, etc." and then the poem went on to ask guests to light the candle and say a prayer in babies name. Anyhow, it was super cute and I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas/suggestions or even cute poems to attach to the thank you gifts from the baby! I have found the poem I was referring to: I'm so happy you are here at this shower held for me - I'm not yet here in person, but I'm glad my mom can be. I know that she appreciates your friendship and your care, (and also all the baby stories people love to share)! The darling baby presents are all that we'll be needing... for washing, drying, dressing, sleeping, diapering and feeding! I hope that when I do arrive you'll visit for awhile... I'll coo and gurgle just for you, and smile my brightest smile!

A) congrats. on the little one but i think you should put a poem on it that says something like Thank you for sharing this special day, I'm sorry I had to stay away. But I may be a little longer, 'Cos I have to grow much stronger. Thank you for your love and wishes, I'd like to shower you with kisses. A) Google baby shower games and you will get tons of websites and there are some that will let you download the games for free. There is one that you guess the name of the candy bar based on a saying for instance 11lb baby would be...Whoopers, Newborn baby laughs would be...Snickers, Conception Night would be...Skor the person who guesses the candy bar name gets the candy. It is a cute game and it is a nice way for everyone to win something. If a baby name is not decided on yet you can have everyone sit in a circle and how the game works is you have to say a name for the letter of the alphabet that comes to you you have 3 seconds to come up with a name (boy or girl) and you keep going in the circle till all but one person is eliminated, winner gets the prize. The one thing to try and keep in mind is you might not always have mothers invited so try and pick some games for both groups meaning games that both groups can win. Women that are not mommies are not going to be able to suck down juice from a bottle, nor are they going to be able to identify baby food. Have fun and I hope it is a healthy baby boy!

having a Jungle-themed baby shower- need ideas for shower favors?

Q) I have the menu mostly planned, but am stuck thinking of jungle/rainforest themed gift ideas for the guests. I have a budget of about $2 per guest (15 guests) Thanks for any ideas you might have!!!!

A) Very cute theme tie a ribbon and thank you around... small animal shaped cookie cutters individual boxes of circus animal cookies Try making your own labels w/theme and stick on candy bars, mint tins, lip balm tins etc.

Received favors at an Indian baby shower, any meaning?

Q) I just attended a baby shower for an Indian couple. At the end the mother-to-be gave me a bag of favors. I was wondering if there was any meaning or symbolism behind the gifts, they were: -a banana -a large leaf of some sort -yellow snack mix -a silver coin in a pouch (not sure if it's a rupee or not) -two pieces of sweet stuff/dessert -some sort of a crushed up nut, very hard and not eatable, I tried :) Thank you to anyone that answers! One additional note, it was a Hindu Indian couple.

A) haha, ya it may sound a bit weird to you, getting a bag of fruits. In India, almost any major event requires a religious ceremony(which is called a pooja). In a pooja, the priest asks hindu gods to give luck, prosperity, etc. to whatever the ceremony is for. The food you got is kinda like 'blessed food/gifts'. The leaf is probably a betel leaf(throw it out), the snack mix is good (its called chaat, it might be a bit spicy for u), The silver coin is a rupee if it has a lion statue on it. I know all this must sound pretty wierd, but i hoped it helped

Pregnant with first child. To be honest I hate the girly baby showers. I would like to have a coed shower?

Q) that is not girly. More like a party. Games maybe but not a must. Someone mentioned to me a "we are having a baby" party. I want everything different, even colors (i find out tommorrow the sex) i don't want traditional pink/blue. any ideas favors, gifts, food.

A) It's called a Jack and Jill shower. For gifts you should register for exactly what you want. Spare the men on the games-I hate games at these things the only one that's fun is if you put baby pictures of you and your husband on the tables people can guess how old you were in the picture. Serve what ever you want this is your gig--Have fun!!

BABY SHOWER plz help!!!?

Q) I need your help ppl, rly bad! Can anyone give me ideas for cheap babyshower "prize" gifts(home made is fine)?! And also any favors to do with CANDY? Baby shower is in like 2wks, so i will take ANYONES input(did i spell that right lol)!!!

A) Favors: This isn't candy...it's cookies. You can get some of those little sugar booties at a cake decorating/party/craft store...or even on line if you have time. Buy some of those chocolate covered oreo's...white looks best but either will do. Put a drop of frosting on the bottom of the sugar decoration and stick to the cookie. You can put them in little plastic party favor bags with a ribbon. Prizes: Go to the $1 store. Sometimes you can find pens/candle holders/little pic frames/et. that are decorated with glitter and stuff. They bagged pens with little note pads and candles with little pic frames at my shower and people really liked them. Also, I suggest putting the prizes in clear bags with ribbons. That way people can pick what they like and not get upset if they open something they don't want.
